How to Backup and Restore WordPress website in softaculous

To back up a WordPress website using Softaculous, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Scroll down to the Software section.
- Click on Softaculous Apps Installer.
Step 2: Locate Your WordPress Installation
- Click on the Installations tab at the top of the Softaculous dashboard.
- Locate the WordPress website you want to back up.
Step 3: Create a Backup
- Next to your WordPress installation, click on the Backup icon (a small file icon 📂).
- In the backup settings, you can choose to include:
- Full Backup (recommended)
- Files Only (if you don’t need the database)
- Database Only (if you only want the database)
- Click the Backup Installation button and wait for the process to complete.
Step 4: Download the Backup
- Once the backup is complete, go to Softaculous → Backups & Restore.
- You will see the newly created backup.
- Click the Download button to save it to your computer.
Step 5: Restore (if needed)
If you need to restore the backup:
- Go to Softaculous → Backups & Restore.
- Find your backup and click the Restore icon.
- Confirm the restoration process.
